No. Sublimation dye only binds with synthetic polymer fibers. Attempting to sublimate on cotton results in the ink washing out completely during the first laundry cycle. For cotton apparel, we recommend DTF transfers or screen printing.
Sublimation inks are transparent. Because there is no white sublimation ink, the background fabric color acts as your base. Printing onto dark polyester obscures the image, which is why white or light pastel fabrics are required for accurate color reproduction.
Because disperse dyes lock directly inside the polyester fiber core, sublimated graphics will not fade, crack, or peel under standard wash conditions. The print lasts for the entire lifespan of the garment itself.
